Jim Rose is Director of Assurance Services at Purk & Associates, PC. He is responsible for all audit, review, compilation, and other attest services provided by the firm. Jim has expertise in a all areas of financial accounting and reporting, and serves numerous industries, including construction, not-for-profit, manufacturing, distribution, employee benefit plans, real estate, home builders, and professional services. He provides technical consultations on complex issues with clients and internally within the firm. Jim also handles the firm’s new financial accounting and professional standards implementations.
With over 25 years experience, including his Big 4 and large regional public accounting firm experience as well as his experience as CFO of a privately held company and SEC experience as corporate controller of a publicly held company, Jim provides a unique perspective to clients and their issues.
Jim earned a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Washington University. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Jim presents regularly on accounting, auditing, and industry related topics. Jim was selected as one of the “2012 Top Executives” in the October 2012 issue of St. Louis’ Small Business Monthly.
Jim serves on the Board of Directors for Missouri Coalition for the Environment, and is a founding board member of 501Connect, Inc. He is a member of the Finance Committee at St. Patrick Center and a member of the Education Committee of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis, Supplier/Service Council.
