Manager – Tax Services

Office Administration Professional

About the Role

Purk & Associates, PC, a public accounting firm, is seeking an internal Office Administration Professional. This Professional will perform a variety of core administrative activities to support our accountants and clients, as well as some internal Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for the firm.  The successful candidate would be someone comfortable serving as a trusted resource to our staff and clients by providing assistance with responsibilities, both scheduled and unplanned, pivoting as needed. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Prepare electronic deposits daily
• Reconcile credit card accounts
• Accounts Payable – process invoices & prepare checks for signatures
• Data entry of client and firm expenses in software
• Prepare client invoices
• Track Accounts Receivable and follow-up with clients for outstanding amounts
• Assist accounting staff with annual membership renewals
• Assist tracking and payment of various software licenses for accounting staff
• Assembly of various customer deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and other various items as needed, both electronically and via paper copies.
• Assistance with various other general administrative functions as needed, including filing, organization, ordering inventory or other items for the office or for clients, and client telephone and electronic communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software and general knowledge of Intuit QuickBooks
