​Bill Steinhart, CPA, MAcc is the Director of Taxation at Purk & Associates, P.C. With more than 35 years of accounting and tax and business consulting, Bill’s focus is on addressing clients’ business and personal objectives in a strategic and tax-efficient manner.

In his role, Bill advises individuals and family groups, corporations, LLCs, privately held companies and partnerships, overseeing tax planning and filings with respect to federal and state income tax, excise tax, estate, and gift tax matters. He executes tax solutions including business planning and transition phases. He has represented clients in IRS examination planning stages, through administrative hearings, tax appeals representation, litigation support and Private Letter Rulings.

Bill earned his Bachelor of Business in Accounting and his Master of Accountancy degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis, in addition to earning his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
